Óscar Cubillo
I was born in Barcelona in 1972, from my earliest years I discovered my passion for not too separate worlds: photography and wildlife.
I finished my degree in Engineering in 1998, but shortly after my career was focused to business management, although my interest in teaching led me to spend some of my time to share my knowledge at classrooms, seminars and conferences for Economics Department at Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona.
While in the vocational area, photography has held an important place in my life. I got my first camera when I was 9 years old, a Werlisa of the 60s, since then I have never stopped pressing the shutter. After more than 40 years of photography I can consider myself a passionate about photography.
In an effort to combine my professional interests and my vocation, in 2012 I founded fStop Training, where I combined photography, teaching and management.
I am an avid traveler. I never miss an opportunity to see new places, learning new cultures and, of course, keep those moments in my camera and my heart.
My approach to photography
When I talk about photography I can not avoid words like "passion", "enthusiasm", "vocation"... I could not understand a world without photography, in which light could not be captured to keep the moments that should remain in memory
Photography is 10% technique and 90% passion, I never could take a good picture if I don't shot from my heart.
I emphasize that I am an amateur photographer and, without lecturing on photography, I have the freedom to not depend on it to live. It allows me to build the picture that I want, so I believe I'm lucky.
With time and experience, you learn to speak with images, to transform reality into the expression of your concerns, to create instead of capture.
I love to steal moments to the life.
